Lakeway once a sleepy town for the retired is surrounded by golf courses, borded by Lake Travis and is known for its hill country views!  Lakeway gives you a resort-like feeling having marinas, spas, well-known resort such as the Lakeway Inn, quick access to the lake and shopping.  Naturally there are condominiums, townhouses, single family, duplexes and apartments.  Lakeway has a reputation amongst the "wealthy" because of the large waterfront homes by Lake Travis.  I love Lakeway because of it's hill country topography and the exemplary schools under Lake Travis ISD.

What's Around Lakeway?

A brand new mall, the upscale Hill Country Galleria opened in the Fall of 2007.  Besides a cinema, there is a bookstore, lots of clothing store, coffee and sandwich shop, Dillard's and more.  There are two nearby grocery stores, H-E-B and Randalls.  There are marinas where you can launch and keep your boat.  There is also a small airport for small plane homeowners.  Yes, some homes have a hangar for a garage!  Yearly, the Golf/Kinko's PGA tour include's one of the golf course of Lakeway.  Lakeway has a city park, it's own police (City of Lakeway) and a handful of Code Enforcers that make sure homeowners follow the cities restrictions.  Don't let that scare you as our code enforcers are still one of the friendliest in the area.  Other sources would be the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Travis website.
